Firearms & Tactics Instructor

Rico, raised in Washington state, started his instructional journey with the US Army and event security for the NBA. During that time, he amassed a plethora of training and experience in conflict management, communication skills in de-escalation, and martial arts.

After moving from Washington state, he was hired by Arizona Department of Corrections as a Corrections Officer working in some of the highest-level custody units in the state managing the most violent criminals in the state of Arizona. During his career, he has gained valuable insights into criminal and predatory behaviors, criminal gangs, and pre-attack behaviors.

Rico has since become a USCCA Certified Instructor in Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals offering his experiences to not only the public and community, but law enforcement around the country.

Rico’s training belief is: “People are capable of more than they think. Often times, they just need someone to show them the way.”
