Guardian Pistol Red Dot Course

PREREQUISITE: Must know basic firearms safety & firearms handling. You must know how to load, unload, reload, and shoot proficiently prior to attending this event.

This course will be hosted at C2 Tactical in Phoenix/Scottsdale and will be a hybrid course! Upon registration, each student will receive a video and PowerPoint handout on the following performance objectives:

• This class will assist the handgun operator in transitioning to the use of Red Dot Sights on a handgun.
• The drills will stress proper handgun presentation and proper handgun manipulation
• There will be multiple drills in daylight and low light if possible

The final portion of the drills will be environmental-based drills to work on practical use of the skills learned.

• Introduction to the Red Dot Sight (RDS)
• Tech talk— models, mounting, etc
• Advantages of the RDS
• Disadvantages of RDS
• Using the red dot vs iron sights
• Initial Basic Live Fire Drills
• Zeroing
• Presentation | Drawing
• Finding the dot
• RDS Failure drills
• Multiple target engagement
• Movement drills

GEAR REQUIRED:

• 300 rounds minimum (no steel core ammunition: Wolf, Red Army, etc) – more the ammo the merrier
• Red-Dot equipped pistol with 3 mags – if you do not have one, we will supply
• Holster & mag carriers – preferable
• Reliable and safe holster
• Note-taking material
• Open mind!
