Nic is currently a police officer for a large metropolitan police department in Arizona where he has been selflessly protecting, serving, and bettering his community for 6 and a half years.

While doing so, Nic has been presented with multiple awards such as a Lifesaving Medal and a Commendation Medal. Nic has also received accolades such as nominations of Officer of the Year for both his department and for the Arizona Association of Chief’s of Police.

Prior to law enforcement, Nic served his country in the US Army as a decorated Military Police Officer for 6 years. Nic deployed to Romania and conducted Law and Order Operations and US Customs and Inspections in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Nic was also selected to conduct Force Protection Operations for the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the United States Naval Special Warfare Command (USNSW) in the United Arab Emirates in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Spartan Shield). Nic has experience in leading small teams and squads, training local national military members, and Key Leader Engagement (KLE).

Throughout his 12 collective years of service, he has graduated numerous professional military and law enforcement trainings and courses which gives him a wealth of knowledge and experience to draw from. Nic is an AZPOST General Instructor and has experience as a Field Training Officer for new officers. Nic is also USCCA Certified Instructor in Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals.

Nic holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Grand Canyon University.

Nic is passionate about both learning from others and teaching others. Whether it is training new officers, members of the Armed Forces, or citizens, Nic ensures the environment for learning is always professional and comfortable. Nic prides himself on always learning new skills to better himself, both personally and professionally. Nic believes a part of an instructor’s job is to never stop learning which is why he fights complacency every day.
